Mogami 3104 is a world renowned audiophile grade, four-conductor speaker cable that comes from Japan. It’s made with Neglex oxygen-free copper (OFC) for accurate sound transmission and is designed for home Hi-Fi. professional studio and home recording use. It features a monstrous 14.5mm yet super-flexible matte black PVC jacket and 4 x 12 AWG conductors making it ideal for applications like star-quad and bi-wiring. And because of the sheer size and weight of these cables, we build using robust CMC locking banana plugs or well engineered ViaBlue banana or spade connectors to keep everything secure. They say that almost every piece of commercially recorded music has at some point passed through Mogami cable during its making, so thats good enough for us!
We wire the four opposing conductors in a Star-Quad formation which cancels out electromagnetic interference (EMI). We also enhance the cables in either a fashionable neutral olive, sultry black magic or striking snake finish Techflex sleeving to add a level of pizazz, personalisation and protection.
The cables are terminated into airtight copper lined ferrules and screwed or soldered into the plugs using Oyaide SS-47 silver solder (Plug type dependent) to ensure a low resistance, high conductivity and solid mechanical connection with no risk of oxidation which can degrade sound quality over time.
